Obituary for William Mercer "Billy" Tharpe

Mr. William “Billy” Mercer Tharpe, 56, of Warner Robins and formerly of Albany, passed away Friday, July 22, 2016 at Houston Medical Center in Warner Robins.
Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 28, 2016 at Crown Hill Cemetery.
A native of Albany, Mr. Tharpe was the son of the late William Matthews Tharpe, II and Velma Taylor Tharpe. He worked for several years as a truck driver, enjoyed fishing and loved riding motorcycles.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Matt and Shannon Tharpe of Warner Robins; girlfriend, Nancy Thompson of Warner Robins; siblings, Steve Hall (Nancy) Hall of Albany, Beth Holcomb (Jeff) and Becky Tharpe all of St. Simmons; two grandchildren, Taylor and Spencer.
The family will receive friends at Hall and Hall Funeral Home from 6 until 8 Wednesday evening.
